Lisa Sakaguchi Cooley is an artist who dapples in paint and poetry. She is also a plant mom, shower singer, and enjoyer of teas. She is Japanese-American, grew up in Hong Kong, and lives in Queens. She currently teaches a magnificent class of first graders in the South Bronx, and writes about all of the above, all of the time.
